The Sir Alex Ferguson Library is located on the GCU campus in Glasgow city centre. Buchanan Bus Station, the terminal for all long distance buses into Glasgow, is located directly opposite the campus. The nearest train stations are Queen Street (5-10 minute walk) and Central Station (10-15 minute walk). Free shuttle buses for train ticket holders.

Fire Alarm Information

In the event of a fire alarm please leave the building by the nearest available exit and proceed to the signposted muster point at the main university concourse.

Access Policy

You must wear a face mask at all times inside the library and when using the SafePod. Please clean all SafePod touch points before and after your booked session, including door handles, monitor, mouse and keyboard. Cleaning materials are provided.


There is step-free access to both the library and the SafePod. Accessible toilets are available in the library. Please contact GCU to discuss any specific requirements.

There is no lone working policy. Use of the SafePod is unsupervised.
