Luxembourg Income Study joins the SafePod Network


 

We are delighted to announce that the Luxemburg Income Study (LIS) has joined the SafePod Network, and their data will now be available to researchers across the UK for the first time from SafePod Network services.  LIS is the largest available harmonised income micro database in the world with nearly 1000 datasets from upper and middle income countries. These are harmonised into the following databases:

  • Luxembourg Income Study Database
    This is the largest available harmonised income micro-database with nearly 1000 datasets from over 50 countries in Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Australasia spanning six decades.
     
  • Luxembourg Wealth Study Database (LWS)
    This is the first cross-national wealth database in existence with over 100 datasets from nearly 25 countries in Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Australasia.
     
  • ERF-LIS Database
    This is a harmonized income and consumption micro-database combining LIS and Economic Research Forum data, currently covering 7 MENA region countries.

Data Catalogue
A data catalogue is available for researchers to search the databases.  The LIS METadata Information System (METIS) enables browsing, aggregating, and exporting LIS/LWS/ERFLIS Databases documentation and can be tailored to a users needs. More information about METIS is available here.
